I’m Sodai Agata — someone who absolutely loves golf and fashion. I started sharing Japanese golf fashion trends in 2025, so make sure to check them out!
What’s golf to you?
It’s something special. For someone like me who loves clothes, golf is the perfect sport. I mean, there’s no other sport that lets you enjoy fashion like golf does, right?
Target handicap?
Someday, I’d love to become a single-digit handicapper — haha. But honestly, as long as I’m having fun playing golf with my friends, the score doesn’t really matter.
Favorite golf course?
That would be Springfield Golf Club in Gifu, Japan. I actually used to work there as a caddie a few years ago. Out of all the courses I’ve played, it’s definitely the most challenging.
Favorite item in your bag?
My Yankees head cover! I’ve been a Yankees fan since way back. During last year’s World Series, I was probably the only one in Japan cheering for them — haha.
Shoutouts?
There’s still a lingering image in Japan of golf being for business or something you do out of obligation. I want to use the power of fashion to show that golf can be something anyone can casually enjoy. So definitely check it out!
