Who are you?
My name is Philip, I’m 38 from Germany. Have been making events & marketing in the skateboard industry for the past 14 years. Started playing golf when I was 13 but also had 17 years in total of not playing and realised how much I missed it 3 years ago. Since then I’m trying to play every day.
What’s golf to you?
Golf means a lot to me. It’s the only time and place where my mind switches off and I really don’t think about anything but golf. It often feels like therapy, even on bad days. I wouldn’t want to do anything else and making a living from it would be an absolute dream.
Target handicap?
I don’t really care about my hcp to be honest. I’m listed with 9 but my last tournament was 15years ago. Becoming scratch would be cool but I don’t focus on it. I really play for the shots, fun and the stories, not the score.
Favorite golf course?
Probably Club de Golf Alcanada in Mallorca, Spain. But I’ve never played out of europe so I guess there’s a lot more to explore.
Favorite item in your bag?
Love to be creative with my sand wedge and make unnecessary shots 😀 but there’s barely a better feeling for me than hitting a full 4iron next to the flag. I’m also forever in love with my Scotty that im playing since I was 13, never had a doubt in it.
