Who are you?
My name is Julien Thezier, I am 24 years old, and I have been playing golf since I could walk. Almost born on a golf course on March 27, 2000, I am now a golf instructor at the Racing Club de France La Boulie. In addition, I also work as a doorman at a prestigious Parisian restaurant and as a luxury concierge.
What’s golf to you?
For me, golf is a big part of my life. During my childhood, I spent more time playing golf than doing anything else. I lived and breathed golf: I ate golf, slept golf, and was completely addicted. I must admit, I was probably a little too obsessed with bogeys and lost balls, but I loved it.
Target handicap?
I don’t have target of handicap because now I’m teacher and in France teacher don’t have anymore handicap.
Favorite golf course?
Choosing my favorite golf course is quite difficult, as I’ve had the chance to play on many exceptional courses over the years. However, in terms of memories and quality, the one that stands out for me is the White course at Doral Golf in Miami. Unfortunately, they destroyed it, which I find truly unfortunate.
Favorite item in your bag?
My favorite club in my bag is simple: it’s the one that makes me lose my mind the most, the driver. I love using the phrase “hit as hard as you’re dumb.”
